Launched for the 1972 Olympics (hence the 72 tag), the SL (super light) is a running/jogging
shoe that was released in quieter,more subdued colours than its stablemate,the SL73.
The upper was constructed from breathable nylon weave,but the shoes most distinctive features are a traction tread outsole,a built in heel counter and rubber toe box reinforcements.
